Of late, maximalist interiors have been big news with more and more of us turning to the bold and eclectic to express personality and playfulness through our homes.

In a world of so much uncertainty, it's possibly no surprise that we have turned to our homes to provide us with a sense of fun and freedom.

So what is maximalism? Well, read on for some amazing inspiration from some of our Instagram favourites but in a nutshell, you can't miss a maximal interior. Think layers of colour, texture and print. Anything goes from colour and print clash and may often appear on the verge of chaos.

When it comes to maximalism then you can throw the rule book out the window. If you want pink leopard print walls, all the chintz, clashing colours and a plethora of playful accessories then who are we to stop you!

If you're looking for some visual inspiration, then these are our top ten "Fearless Interiors" accounts to follow.
